The stage takes place in Cluj- Napoca, where four of the volunteers are engaged in animation activities in four sections of the Clinical Emergency Hospital for Children Cluj- Napoca and try to increase the little patients’ life quality. The other two volunteers are involved in the initiation, developing and promoting of cultural events held in the independent theater "REACTOR of creativity and experiment." Besides the above mentioned activities, volunteers prepare and implement non- formal education activities in multicultural clubs for primary school children from Floresti, Sinpaul and Tureni.
The objective of the project is to promote the involvement of volunteers in public institutions (hospitals and schools) and to contribute to the efforts of the local community to develop of the cultural sector in Cluj- Napoca due to the fact that the city is a candidate for the title of European Capital of Culture in 2. At the same time, the project is designed to create a favorable environment to personal and professional development of the 6 volunteers through their continuous involvement in the project in recreational, playful, artistic and socio- educational activities for children in local hospitals and rural schools, as well as in the local cultural sector. In the second part of the project, the volunteers have the opportunity to design their contribution to the local community based on their personal interests and needs, by developing individual projects which will be finalized with four public events meant to promote volunteering within the National Volunteer Week.
The project includes also four presentations for young people from Romania, on learning opportunities offered by the European Voluntary Service. The "Multicultural Routs" is funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus + program, a program administered in Romania by the National Agency for Community Programs in Education and Training.
EVSification. The project "EVSification" is implemented by Cluj- Napoca Volunteer Center along with the partners, FERSO, Poland and Centrum dobrovolnictva, Slovakia. All three organizations are active in the field of volunteering and have expertise in volunteers’ and project management in the context of European Voluntary Service (EVS). The project aims to strengthen volunteerism in the three countries, by increasing the capacity of organizations that involve volunteers regarding project management and EVS volunteers. Project’s activities are focused on volunteers’ management in EVS context and aims at developing three intellectual products during the 2.
The Management of EVS volunteers Manual" (a document addressed to all organizations and coordinators involved in EVS projects with practical information on the 9 steps of volunteers’ management), "EVSification Recipe Design" (based on the realized manual, the project team will build a design for a training course that could be replicated by organizations active in EVS) and webinars (three webinars on topics relevant to the management of EVS will be organized). The project “Volunteerism, a bridge between ethnic groups” is implemented by Cluj- Napoca Volunteer Center in the period March 2. April 2. 01. 6. The project has the purpose to contribute to the development of three rural communities of Cluj county (Floresti, Tureni and Sinpaul), by approaching the issues that appear within multi- ethnic communities. Also, it aims at developing the communities and creating positive changes, through volunteerism by mobilizing of all local actors.

The proposed activities in communities Floresti, Tureni and Sinpaul involve several main actions: developing a multicultural club in each beneficiary school with the purpose to stimulate in a positive way the interaction between children of different ethnicities; training and empowerment of City Halls in the effective management of inter- ethnic relations (through a training course dedicated to City Hall representatives, through a job shadowing in Norway, but also by the permanent involvement in all actions taken in the community); creating the context for interaction and involvement in the entire community through the proposed community actions, promotional events etc. The project "Volunteering, a bridge between ethnic groups" is funded by the EEA Grants 2. Cluj- Napoca Volunteer Center is the partner in the international project CIVCIL, project coordinated by The Platform - Slovakia, in cooperation with Volunteer Center in Osijek, Croatia, with University of Matej Bel in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, Pedagogical Lyceum Gheorghe Sincai Zalau, Romania and with Citizens Democratic Initiative Project in Croatia.
Project CIVCIL focuses on young people with fewer opportunities to become volunteers. The main aim of the project is the social inclusion and better integration of young people with disabilities and few opportunities to society through volunteering and thanks to recognition and validation of competences acquired during their voluntary activities.
This goal will be realized by creating and adapting an online tool which recognises and validates these competences and strengthens their employability. In Slovakia this tool was created in 2. V- skills for employment (D- zručnosti pre zamestnanie). This tools enables our partners in Romania and Croatia to create their own tools adapted for specific conditions in their countries.
We will also create a European website on which we´ll present tools existing in our country and in other European countries as well. Second part of the project deals with a creation of outlines and training materials and as well as with training of management of volunteers focused on young people with disabilities. These programs aim to train organisations to work with people with a certain type of a disability and on subsequent participation of these people in volunteering. The expected result will not only include the engagement of young people with disabilities to volunteering, but also the improvement of managment of young volunteers with disabilities in organizations and promotion of volunteering in countries participation on the project. Volunteer Management from A to Z". In the period 1st of April 2. March 2. 01. 5 Cluj- Napoca Volunteer Center with the partners Pro Vobis - National Resource Centre for Volunteering and IOGT Tippetue from Norway is implementing the project “Volunteer Management from A to Z” which aims to increase the organizational capacity 1. NGOs from Romania by improving the involvement of volunteers in their work.
This will be achieved both through training, consultancy and job shadowing in organizations with experience in volunteer management, and through organizing, by each beneficiary NGO of a public community action contributing to the "No hate speech" campaign focused on promoting tolerance and the fight against hate speech and all forms of discrimination. Through public actions, the beneficiary organizations will have the opportunity to put into practice the theory of “the 9 steps in volunteer management” and developing relevant skills to volunteer management. Each action should involve a minimum of 1.
Last but not least, the project aims to address specific volunteer management issues through an innovative method: organizing 3 theatrical performances on the social theme of the project each of them ending with a debate by involving the audience. Between 1. 7th of March, 2. October 2. 01. 5, Cluj- Napoca Volunteer Center is implementing the project "EUROPEAN volunteers in YOUTH CAPITAL ". Two young German volunteer are involved in an one year volunteering program from September 1, 2. August 3. 1, 2. 01. The project mainly aims to create a learning environment in which the emphasis is placed both on the personal and professional development to the two youngs.
In the context in which Cluj- Napoca holds the title of European Capital of Youth in 2. In this respect the two young volunteers will initiate and implement activities dedicated to youth, such as language clubs, international evenings, workshops, crafts, watching movies. Through these activities the two will interact directly with the youth in the local community.
Also both volunteers will have the opportunity to be involved in activities and events for the National Volunteer Week.
